Despite decades of efforts in development policy and cooperation at national and international level, women and girls in many areas are still discriminated against and the social and political Contribute excluded. What development strategies to support women to achieve greater economic, political and social freedom of action? Development needs in general gender equality? With examples from countries of the South (Afghanistan, Mali, Zambia) shows the speaker on ways which can help the German and international development cooperation to greater gender equality.
