Review:
"blood oath" is the fourth part of the Vampire Academy series, which has drawn me since the first book in his spell.
First I want to say that "blood oath" is very different than its predecessor. The main plot is not playing in St. Vladimir, but more or less "on the road.
It's no longer about finding oneself, and develop his powers, but to make decisions that are not always pleasant.
I think it's always great to read a series, and then witness, how to develop the characters.
Rose has become very much on an emotional level and is doing everything to keep their promise to kill Dimitri, now that he is a Strigoi.
Sometimes it's almost unreal as it is taken in their situation, because eventually they will kill their love. On the other hand, I simply believe that this is just a peculiarity that it now makes up just as a prospective guardian: Do whatever you have to do for the good of all. At this point I'm really curious to see how Rose will change in the subsequent two volumes yet, but until now I can confidently say that she is a protagonist who is always good for surprises and those who simply is not tired.
What is also very nice about this book are the many new characters that make this book so different from its predecessors. Life outside the academy moved into the center and the reader learns more about dhampir and Moroi, which do not adhere to the rules, as taught in St. Vladimir.
New supporting characters have the action a whole new level given. Thus we see again as Jill, who had in the last book a very small role. Or Sydney, an alchemist, the Rose explains a lot of things they would have probably learned in the academy after graduation. And then there's Abe. The mysterious stranger who helps Rose though, but it says what he wants. More surprising is the response you get at the end of the book, on the question of who he is and what are his intentions.
We also learn a group of free dhampir know who have specialized in the killing of Strigois in the streets of Siberia. For Rose, this is all completely new and particularly the fact that they found no Moroi allocated.
The atmosphere of the book I would describe as a whole very depressing, because the goal of Rose's mission is just extremely sad. Also, the fact that the new girl at school named Avery replaced them with their friends almost makes the thing not just better.
addition comes the fact that through regular blood loss, Dimitri their causes can not think straight and is undermined.
But just this time in the book I found very interesting because it has received here shows how much impact a Strigoi different from the character that he once was.
Dimitri has become the exact opposite of what Rose has loved him. No heat and no love is more out of them, instead only ultimate power hungry. Through their trance state is not easy to understand for Rose, but when she realizes that Lissa more than ever need their help and someone wants to destroy her life, she thinks about their mission, and shows the strong will that it represents.
In this volume, the story ends again with a bunch of plot twists and a battle that has washed himself.
Conclusion:
Richelle Mead simply not disappointed. Even with the fourth volume in the Vampire Academy series, she has once again shown to be as breathtakingly good youth vampire books and stories live not only by weak female characters. In many ways, the Vampire Academy series entbricht the vampire clichés and focuses on character development and action-packed showdown. All I can really say is that we are dealing with very large and emotionsgeladenem cinema.
Many thanks for the review copy goes to
